Taking serious note of the persistent lack of expected progress in selected projects under the AMRUT Mission, the Urban Administration and Development Department has taken strict action.
Under the chairmanship of the Commissioner of Urban Administration and Development, Madhya Pradesh, Shri Sanket Bhondve, a meeting was organized on August 13, 2026, at the Directorate to hear the representations of the concerned urban bodies and contractors. In the meeting, notice letters issued to the contractors, their reports, and the feedback of the concerned bodies were discussed in detail project by project.
Following the project-wise review, a decision was taken to blacklist the following 5 contractors:
M/s Jay Varudi Infracon Pvt. Ltd. — Bhopal Municipal Corporation, AMRUT 2.0 Sewerage Project (Package-2).
M/s L.C. Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd. — Bhopal Municipal Corporation, AMRUT 2.0 Sewerage Project (Package-3).
M/s Dineshchandra R. Agarwal Infracon Pvt. Ltd. — Dewas Municipal Corporation, AMRUT 2.0 Sewerage Project.
M/s Envirad Projects Pvt. Ltd. — Satna Municipal Corporation, AMRUT 1.0 Sewerage Project (Package-2).
M/s R. & B. Infra Project Ltd. — Pithampur Municipal Council, AMRUT 2.0 Sewerage Project.
The department clarified that projects under the AMRUT Mission are directly linked to public interest. Unnecessary delays in their implementation, failure to work according to the set progress, or non-compliance with contractual obligations will be taken seriously. In such cases, strict action will be taken against the concerned contractors under the contractual provisions, and negligence will not be accepted at any level.
During the period of blacklisting, new tenders, proposals, or bids from these firms will not be accepted by the department or the urban bodies under it. The concerned urban bodies have been directed to take necessary contractual action as per the terms of the contract and complete the remaining work according to rules without disruption.
Regular and high-level reviews of the AMRUT Mission projects will continue. Responsibility will be fixed in projects with slow progress, and strict contractual actions, including blacklisting, will be taken as necessary.
The clear message from the department is that delays in public interest projects and negligence in work will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
