Leveraging the Global Indian Network Offering his suggestions to India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Lord Rami Ranger emphasized that there are nearly 40 million NRIs settled worldwide. He stated that the global diaspora must be actively educated about India’s Sanatan traditions and the monumental significance of the Simhastha Mahakumbh. He recommended that Indian High Commissions across the globe display notices and provide official information packs dedicated to the upcoming mega-event.

 

 

Official Diplomatic Response When these key demands of the NRI community were placed before the Deputy High Commissioner of India to the UK in London, Kartik Pande, he responded by highlighting past precedents. He mentioned that India’s Ministry of External Affairs had successfully extended extensive facilitation during the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela. Terming the ideas as highly constructive, he assured that once the High Commission of India receives a formal memorandum on this matter, it will certainly take appropriate action to move it forward.

The Friends of MP UK Chapter and FISI UK have plans for the Simhastha Mahakumbh, which include raising awareness among devotees in the UK and London about this mega spiritual gathering. FOMP UK proposes to work alongside the High Commission of India in London and its missions, together with the Government of Madhya Pradesh, to act as a trusted first point of contact for overseas devotees.
