The people of Madhya Pradesh are going to have new year gift of free internet facility from the MP Govt. The Chief Minister Kamal Nath may start from Bhopal. Kamal Nath is taking strategic steps for embitterment of people in every sphere.. The facility of free internet will be a fresh addition to the series of such steps.
According to information with MPPost, an agreement has been reached between Smart City Bhopal and Telecom Company Bharti Infratel Limited in Bhopal city. Under this, smart poles have been installed in Bhopal.
In the first phase, Kamal Nath government is going to provide free internet facility to the people of Bhopal city and citizens coming from anywhere in Bhopal city will get the facility through 149 smart polls.
Bharti Infratel Limited has set up smart polls to provide free internet in Bhopal at a cost of 690 crore. There are a total of 400 smart poles in Bhopal city so far, 149 smart poles have been installed. The rest are in the process of being installed. As many as 100 hotspots established in Bhopal city through which 1000 access points will be given 50 MB free internet data to the citizens. For the use of free internet, citizens have to generate PIN through one time OTP, after which they can avail internet. In the second phase, citizens of Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Gwalior, Satna, Sagar will soon get free internet facility under this project, the process has been completed. For all other smart city cities except Smart City Bhopal, the tender has been tendered in favor of telecom company Reliance Jio. Citizens will start getting free internet facility as soon as Jio signs MoU with smart city companies. The agreement between Jio and Smart City should be at the earliest, not only is the Kamal Nath government insisting on this, but the CEOs of the respective Smart City cities are in constant touch with the concerned officials of Jio.
