16 Awards In Excellence To Be Presented

The National E-Governance Award will be conferred upon Bhopal Smart City’s SCADA , including NCRB from the Ministry of Home Affairs and three central departments.

The National E-Governance Awards comprise 16 national awards in 5 categories. The awards will be presented on August 25th during the E-Governance Conference by Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s office.

The 26th National E-Governance Conference, aimed at promoting innovations in E-Governance, is scheduled to be held in Indore on August 24-25, 2023.

The Govt of Indian hosts the National E-Governance Conference in collaboration with various ministries to recognize and encourage excellence in implementing innovative practices in E-Governance.

These awards recognize excellence in various categories, including digital transformation, citizen-centric services, district-level initiatives, research on citizen-centric services by academic and research institutions, and emerging technologies by startups.

The winners will receive cash prizes and certificates.
According to the information provided by MPPOST, The National E-Governance Awards 2023 will be presented in 5 categories to various central ministries, departments, state governments, local bodies, public sector enterprises, startups, educational, and research institutions. There will be a total of 16 awards, including 8 Gold and 8 Silver awards, recognizing excellence in different areas of e-governance. The categories include digital transformation, citizen-centric services, district-level initiatives, academic research, and emerging technologies by startups. Each winner will receive a cash prize, a certificate, and a trophy. The awards will focus on topics such as digital transformation, citizen-centric services, cybersecurity, data governance, and more. Additionally, a National Conference on E-Governance in Madhya Pradesh will cover topics related to digital transformation and e-governance initiatives.

Excellence in government processes for digital transformation – (i) In the category of Central Ministries/Departments, the National Crime Records Bureau’s National Automated Fingerprint Identification System and the Rural Development Department’s Antyodaya Mission. (ii) In the State/Union Territory category, awards will be given to West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh.

Excellence in providing citizen-centric services – (i) In the category of Central Ministries/Departments, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj’s Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas and the Ministry of Jal Shakti’s Jal Jeevan Mission. (ii) In the State/Union Territory category, awards will be given to Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand.

Excellence in district-level initiatives in e-governance – Awards will be given to Raipur district in Chhattisgarh, Firozabad district in Uttar Pradesh, Bhopal district in Madhya Pradesh, Smart City’s Water Utility Management System- Water SCADA in Bhopal, and West Singhbhum district in Jharkhand.

Excellence in research on citizen-centric services by academic and research institutions – Awards will be given to Indira Gandhi University in Raipur and Digital University Kerala.

Excellence in emerging technologies in governance by startups – EdTech startup Filo and SecuTech IT Solutions will receive awards.

Each winner will receive a gold award consisting of a certificate, a trophy, and a cash prize of 10.00 lakh rupees for the department/organization/institution, along with a certificate for each team member. Silver awards include a certificate, a trophy, and a cash prize of 5.00 lakh rupees for the department/organization/institution, along with a certificate for each team member.

The “Empowerment of Indian Citizens – Towards a Developed India” National Conference on E-Governance will focus on topics related to digital transformation for technical development in India, emerging technologies for citizen-centric services, district-level initiatives in e-governance, research and development in citizen-centric services, emerging technologies in governance by startups, cyber security and good governance, data governance initiatives for innovation and research, digital transformation to enhance quality of life, and digital transformation and e-governance initiatives in Madhya Pradesh.
