Bhopal, March 30, 2026 (MPPost): The Government of India’s Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has recognised Madhya Pradesh as one of the leading states in providing digital services to citizens, according to the NeSDA (National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment) Monthly Report for February 2026.
According to the report, the top four states based on the number of e-services are: Karnataka in first place with 2,102 e-services, Madhya Pradesh in second place with 1,752 e-services, Chhattisgarh in third place with 1,645 e-services, and Tamil Nadu in fourth place with 1,634 e-services being delivered to citizens.
According to official information received by MPPost, Madhya Pradesh has achieved 100 percent implementation of all 59 mandatory e-services, which is considered a significant achievement in the direction of digital governance.
Reacting to the achievement, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that it is the result of the state’s administrative efficiency and the government’s citizen-centric policies. He added that the state government aims to bring more services onto digital platforms in the coming years and promote mobile-based services, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and data-driven governance.
Expansion of Digital Services in Madhya Pradesh:
According to the NeSDA report, more than 25,000 e-services are being provided to citizens by states and Union Territories across the country. These services cover sectors such as local governance, utility services, revenue administration, healthcare, education, transport, and social welfare. By February 2026, several states had added hundreds of new digital services, further strengthening the digital service delivery ecosystem.
Madhya Pradesh has taken several important initiatives to make citizen services available online, including 100% implementation of 59 mandatory e-services, recognition among the leading states in digital governance, and integrated service delivery through the MP e-Service Portal: https://eseva.mp.gov.in/cms/
Several government department services have been integrated into a single online platform to ensure transparent and time-bound public service delivery.
Role of the MP e-Service Portal:
The MP e-Service Portal has emerged as a key platform for digital governance in Madhya Pradesh. Through this portal, citizens can access a wide range of services online, including birth and death certificates, income, caste and residence certificates, licenses and regulatory approvals, tax and fee payments, and grievance redressal services. The portal currently offers 1,752 digital services to citizens.
The MP e-Seva platform, which also includes a mobile application, provides a unified interface to access services offered by various government departments, institutions, and organisations in Madhya Pradesh.
Moving towards digital self-reliance, the state government developed a centralised MP e-Seva portal by integrating online services from all departments. The portal initially consolidated 1,752 services from 56 government departments, making it the official digital service platform of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
Through this portal, citizens no longer need to visit government offices frequently, as many services can now be accessed online from home.
Transparent and Accountable Governance
The expansion of digital services has improved transparency, accountability, and administrative efficiency. E-governance platforms ensure time-bound service delivery while reducing procedural delays and the possibility of corruption.
The NeSDA February 2026 report clearly shows that Madhya Pradesh is progressing rapidly in digital governance and citizen service delivery. With the full implementation of mandatory e-services, the state has made a significant contribution to strengthening the Digital India Mission, while ensuring that citizens receive simple, transparent, and accessible government services.
