Prime Minister of india Narendra Modi will join 1092 drone trained women from various States when they will be flying drones together on March 11. These women drone didis. The Prime Minister will interact with the drone didis. As many as 102 drone didis from MP and Maharashtra will fly in Bhopal. This is an initiative to empower rural women. This event will be held on March 11 between 10 am to 12 am.

As many as 89 from Madhya Pradesh, 60 from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh-108, Gujarat- 58, Goa 01, Haryana -102, Karnataka -145, Punjab -57, Himachal Pradesh -4, Uttarakhand -3, Rajasthan -40, Tamil Nadu -44, Kerala -51, Telangana -81, Chhatishgarh 15, Bihar 32, Jharkhand 15, Odisha 16, Assam 28, West Bengal 15 will fly drones together. Pilot drone didis will interact with the Prime Minister.

According to the information with MPPost, the Prime Minister will join the event virtually from Delhi. Drone Didis, trained by RPTO – Remote Pilot Training Organization recognized by DGCA – Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Government of India, will join their respective states and fly drones. Women from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra will fly 102 drones together from Indian Institute of Pulses Research Centre, Phanda district, Bhopal.

Women flying drones was just a fantasy. Now women living in villages will also fly drones. This is becoming possible, says Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The central government is planning to increase the Lakhpati Didi target from 2 crore to 3 crore in the 2024 budget speech. The term ‘Lakhpati Didi’ refers to the entrepreneurship of women members of Self Help Groups (SHGs). They earn an income of at least Rs 1 lakh per year using their skills. Its objective is economic independence and women empowerment.

As many as 10 crore rural women Self Help Groups (SHGs) are changing the rural socio-economic landscape with empowerment and self-reliance.

The number of Lakhpati Didis has touched 1 crore and will soon reach 3 crore. In Namo Drone Didi Scheme where groups of women are being trained for use in farming. It is becoming a source of additional income for them.

Under Lakhpati Didi Yojana, fertilizer companies will give drones to women SHGs, this drone will be used in farming work, especially for spraying pesticides and fertilizers.

Under the scheme to make women associated with women self-help groups (SHGs), the government has decided to spend Rs 1261 crore and provide drones to 15,000 women SHGs. 14,500 drones will be given to women SHGs during the financial year 2024-25 and financial year 25-26.
